About

The Finance Committee oversees BWIB’s financial health by managing the annual budget, monitoring income and expenses, and tracking cash flow. It determines the appropriate use of organizational funds, establishes membership dues, and ensures all spending aligns with the organization’s mission. The committee also handles required financial filings and evaluates the feasibility of new programs and events to support informed board decision-making.

How We’re Funded

BWIB funds its operations through ticketed events, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations. These funds support:

  • Event Food & Beverages: Keeping our gatherings welcoming and accessible
  • Participation Incentives: Small gift cards to boost member engagement
  • Website Maintenance: Keeping our digital presence running smoothly
  • Branded Merchandise: Increasing BWIB’s visibility in the community
  • Routine Expenses: Postage, printing materials, and other operational needs
