Ask Us Anything (Except Our Five-
Year Plan): Sprout Informatics’ First Twelve Months
Last fall, Liyang Diao, Ph.D. and Michael Seiler, Ph.D. jumped feet-first into building Sprout Informatics, a fractional computational biology and bioinformatics consultancy for early-stage biotechs.
You might be wondering: after the initial honeymoon period, how did it go?
What to Expect
Join us for a candid conversation about what the first year actually looked like, moderated by Boston Women in Bioinformatics members Isha Parikh, M.S., who interviews bioinformaticians about their career paths for our blog, and Lakshmi Kuttippurathu, Ph.D., a fellow entrepreneur starting her own company. Topics could include:
- Finding their niche
- Pricing, scoping, and other things they did wrong
- Uncertainty: what you can live with, and what you can’t
- What they miss (and what they don’t) from working the 9-to-5
We’ll kick off with a few anchor questions, then open the floor to you.
Who Should Attend
Whether you’re thinking about consulting, starting something of your own, or just curious what life outside a single company looks like, bring your questions. Nothing is off-limits (except, as noted, their five-year plan).
